Dear Partners in Learning,

Can you believe it?  School begins on Wednesday, September 6!  It is time to buy those school supplies and assure that summer reading assignments are well underway.

Breakfast will no longer be served from 7:30-8:00 each day.  It will be served "after the bell" in the classroom at 8:15 each morning.  We realize that many of you have gotten used to bringing their child(ren) to school at 7:30, however that will no longer be possible.  All students will be arriving a 8:00am for a regular start of the school day.  If you choose for your child to eat breakfast at school, they will do so in the classroom. More information will be sent home about the breakfast procedures.

Your Son/daughter came home in June with their Summer Reading Assignment.  Please help us prevent the "summer slide" by having your child read every day over the summer.  If you misplace the packet, it is attached and also can be found on the elementary web page at: http://riversidees.sharpschool.net/parents/summer_reading_list

Also, the local library has a summer reading program.  If you are interested in participating, check out the following link:  http://www.bcls.lib.nj.us/bcls-kicks-2017-summer-reading-program

Also, your child's Study Island and Reading Eggs accounts will still work over the summer.  Make it a goal for them to visit these sites once per week!

The school supply list for the 17/18 school year was also sent home in June  An additional copy will come with the August summer mailing and is also available on the school website.
